Funeral information for ElGato's wife

Post by Charles L. Cotton »

Tom Estep (a/k/a ElGato) is a CHL instructor in Texas City who has long been a member of the TexasCHLforum. I've never met anyone that didn't love the guy and I'm proud to have called him my friend for many years. Many members of our TexasCHLforum "family" came to us at Tom's recommendation. Tom gave me permission to post this information.

Tom's wife Gwen has been battling cancer for months until she went home to be with the Lord yesterday. She is survived by Tom and their four children. Gwen's funeral will be Saturday, Nov. 8th at 2:00pm at the Emken Liton Funeral Home, 5100 Emmett F. Lowrey Expressway, Texas City, TX. 409-945-4444. Viewing will also be Saturday morning, but I don't yet know the time.

Lord, Gwen long ago accepted Your offer of eternal life and we know that she is with You. Please comfort Tom and their children in their hour of grief. Let their strength and courage at this time be a beacon that leads others to You Lord.

Chas.

That is sad news. I am praying for him right now.

Oh man...I am saddened to hear this. Tom - You are in my prayers and know that Gwen is with the Lord now, watching over you and your children. God Bless.

Sadly, I've been expecting this news for awhile.

My prayers for Tom and his family.

In time, may God ease their pain and sorrow...and replace it with joyful memories of a wonderful Wife and Mother.

I only know of her through speaking with Tom but I feel the world is a little smaller and darker now that her spirit has moved on.

Tom, if there is anything I can do to help you out give me a call day or night.

Even though she has gone to a much better place, I know Tom's heart is broken now. Lord lift Tom and his children and show them how to replace the sorrow with happiness if times past. Give them strength to get through the sadness and assure them of the happiness she will endure for eternity. They will be togeather again.

Prayers of support during this time ElGato.

I wish a gentle peace upon your heart and mind knowing that she is with God. Find strength in the bond forged between you two which will last throughout your life. Live for life and love the living.

Rejoice and be ill no more servant of God,

I've been praying for Gwen, but will now pray that the Holy Spirit will comfort Tom, Tami & the family.

May God hold & keep you.
