Hope everyone had a good Thanksgiving....

Like always, my dad and I break out a few guns and we plink for a while.. It's just my dad, 2 sisters, 3 nieces and me.. I let my oldest niece ( 15 yrs old ) shoot my new Kimber. Funny to say the least, pulled the trigger then promptly handed it back to me. Gave her a quick introduction to semi-auto pistols since she hasnt shot one yet, she loaded the mag and chambered one, but she didnt place her shot very well at all, first time jitter's I guess.. I normally always bring out something that will give her a good kick, just for my kicks  My 5 yr old niece always enjoys the .22, my 3 yr old niece is still a bit to young to hold a gun, but I let her pull the trigger, she loves it.. My sisters wanted to shoot the Kimber, but after seeing my niece shoot it they shy'ed away LOL I dont get to let them shoot nearly as often as I'd like to, it's always a good time when we do though.

A very unhappy thanksgiving for some woman in Austin. I was at the laundromat and felt good when I noticed two cop cars had entered the parking lot as i was the only one there. I went outside to smoke so I could eavesdrop. Looked like she got pulled over for a DWI. Saw her in the back of the cop car crying repeatedly saying "I'm so sorry...".

I guess I normally would have thought "good, one less person to kill me on the way home" but I felt bad for her being Thanksgiving and all.'

Edit: Oh yeah, and after thinking about the "what happens when your arrested" thread, apparently, in Austin, your car does get towed.

My best One in yrs.

For at least the last 5 yrs my health has been rotten. I had a knee that was wore completely out & hurt BAD all the time. When we finally got insurance 3 yrs ago they found I had cancer. God used a good sergon & fixed that. Recovered. Last Jan Wife got me a knew knee for my birthday & another of God's hired hands agreed to install it for a nominal fee. This Thanksgiving I am healthy, feel good, am not cripple & dont hurt.
Praise the Lord.
Mom was here yesterday & will be back over today too. All kids, & Grandones. We played, worked, split a cord & half of wood, raked & burned, did guns, gear, ate, Had several "Thank You Lord" praise sessions.

Happy Thanksgiving to all. Mine is still great.
Dry weather permitting we will spend most of the day at the range today.

Happy Thanksgiving all! :tiphat:

I know I'm a day late, but I moved and just got my computer hooked back up.
