RIP Frankie the Yankee....

Post by flintknapper »

I have seen several posts in the past 6-8 months jokingly accusing one member or another of being “Frankie the Yankee” ( a past member here).

I have even done this myself on at least one occasion. I have in recent months checked a couple of other forums that I knew Frankie belonged to and found his last “activity” there to be June of this year.

Unfortunately, I just found this one….and I am certain this is “our” Frankie.

Although Frankie and I often found ourselves in disagreement, I did admire his tenacity…and never doubted his sincerity concerning gun rights and the RKBA.

RIP….Frankie!

I'm sad to see him go. He was a great guy.

R.I.P. indeed, and let us pray for comfort for his family.

He probably was never in line to be appointed a diplomat, but he told the truth. As often as he could for some who couldn't understand it. I hope that is how he would want to be remembered.

Wow...the little girl in the video obviously lost someone that was crazy about her. RIP Frankie.

Looks like Frankie loved many of the same things I do . . . guitars, guns, motorcycles, and grand-daughters.

RIP, indeed. See you on the other side.

Wow, that's unfortunate. From time to time I would wonder if he "went away mad" and I missed it, but I always expected that he would pop back in one of these days.

Let's hope they have MP5 vending machines in Heaven. :coolgleamA:

I hope and pray that his family and friends find comfort in their loss.

Thanks Flint. In one of his last posts he mentioned that he was ill. I was wondering myself. He had a lot more in common than the RKBA with all of us.

I thought he had said something about it here. He PM'd me once stating that he was "not well", but did not say just how bad it was.

Had I known his condition...I would have viewed some of his posts differently. I am sure some of us (me included) sometimes felt he was a little too "eager" to argue any small point.

In reflection, I think he may have have felt an urgency to speak his mind "while he could". A last attempt to "leave a mark"...and champion a cause he believed in.

In any case, he is at peace now.
