A thin line between brave and stupid...

Given current market conditions, I'm not sure I'd be willing to drive that car with that license plate. For those who can't see, it's a 2009 Mercedes-Benz SL Roadster in "Metallic Diamond White" with a license plate that reads "STK MKT." I saw this Saturday evening while stuck in idle traffic on the Beast (Baytown/East Freeway).

When you take the time out of your day to beat someone, it has a much longer lasting effect on their demeanor than simply shooting or tazing them.

Image is not coming up.

Sounds like a prime candidate for bumper car tag.

Sorry, I fixed the image. No folks, I wasn't actually driving when I snapped this image. Traffic was standing still because a bunch of folks decided to play bumper tag ahead of us. I had 30 seconds and a camera phone was handy.

I'm not the kind of person that buys a vanity plate for their vehicle. I spend that money on powder and/or primers, or maybe match fees instead. Either cutsie plates, arrogant or whatever, seems like a waste of money to me.

Maybe he's saying a Benz depreciates less than the stock market.

The average rear ender may not be able to read 'n think well 'enuff to decipher STK MKT. But even a sixth grade dropout knows a Benz emblem spells Money On Board.

I would guess he bought both the car and plates last year.

He's probably working out a plan to trade both for something smaller/cheaper/less vain if he's depending on the STK MKT to pay it off.

I'd rate that one as well over that thin line and solidly in the second category's territory.
