Looking for good barbecue, or any kind of good home style meal. Anyone know of anything good. I hate chain restaurants, i like hole in the wall places, they are always the best.

LOL, back in the day there was nothing between Spring and The Woodlands. Maybe a blimp. And that was it.

A little further south, the Potato Patch is on 1960, about 1/4 mile east of Hardy TR, on the south side of the road.

Separate from your meal, they bring a stack of saucers to your table and then walk around serving stuff like fried green tomatoes.

Hot rolls are tossed to you from across the dining room.

Oh yeah, good food, too!

Wunsche Bros. Cafe in Old Town Spring makes a good burger. Also like their beer bread. Hyde's Cafe, in the same town, is not bad either.

The Goodyear Blimp was on the west side of I-45. I can't imagine why it would leave Texas and go to California. :headscratch
