There are more Wal-Marts than any other retail store chain. Most are always open, so robbers can work the parking lots at night. Shoppers frequently come out with valuable items like NIB TV sets. That adds up to a lot of crime in Wal-Mart parking lots.

In the first case, there just isn't enough information to know what happened. It might have been robbery, a love triangle gone bad, or a gang-related confrontation.
