I have a less edited version that isn't as rich in color as this one, but I'll have to dig through another hard drive to get it. I'll post it later if enough people are interested.

and really, who shoots like that???? Most folks (the ones I've seen, at least) shoot with the thumb riding the safety....
as far as the actual pic goes, it's cool, but the reflection on the slide obscures the gun a bit, and you can't see the barrel. I do, however like the focu on the hand and whatnot, and the detail of the class ring is cool, though admittedly I have no idea if there's any significance to the ring. might be extra cool if it was a WestPoint ring, or Army or sumpin' like that.
great minds....WarHawk-AVG wrote:1st thing that popped into my mind was boogerhook too!
Well, I don't know what a "boogerhook" is. I'm not sure what he is supposedly doing wrong when you say "who shoots like that?" He's holding the gun how I hold mine. I never put my finger on the safety, it's too close to the slide for comfort. Also, the ring is just a high school class ring from Texas High School. Sorry, it's not a West Point ring, although, he is a Marine.DoubleJ wrote:I'd have to say BoogerHook!!!!

It's Hollywood style photography, not a gun safety display. Photography isn't safe. I've chased after poisonous snakes, unarmed, to get a photo close up of one. Sometimes there are risks involved. If it makes you feel any better though, I did check the gun before I let him point it at me, and it was empty.LarryH wrote:My concerns would be:
1. where the gun is pointing, with respect to the camera/cameraman
2. position of the trigger finger
Neither presents a good example for gun safety.
That's respectable.LarryH wrote: because most of us spend much time thinking long and hard about firearm safety, you shouldn't be surprised that most of the comments you received on this forum are more concerned about that than they are about the quality of the photograph
Nikon D40x and Photoshop CS3. These were taken a couple of years ago in the beginning phases of owning my first DSLR camera.KC5AV wrote:What camera/software, etc. did you use?
