Obama mulls making vets foot bill for service injuries
Universal health care..... illegal aliens just walk on into the emergency room....
Medicaid.... Medicare.... but you wounded veterans need to get private medical insurance.
This will never pass, but it is outrageous to even think about.
"WASHINGTON—The Obama administration is considering making veterans use private insurance to pay for treatment of combat and service-related injuries."

I seriously doubt the veracity of this story. It would be sheer stupidity. What veteran in their right mind would consider reenlisting? Why would anyone enlist in the first place?

Sounds like a typical plan to me; if people stop joining, the military will shrink on its own, without him having to announce any plans to cut manpower.Purplehood wrote:I seriously doubt the veracity of this story. The date of the Tea Party has just been moved up a bit!

If this is real, then the Politicians in D.C. had better start packing. And, they will have to move to someplace other than the USA.

If this doesn't fly, I expect the next attempt will be at eliminating free care for non service connected problems, that is currently covered if you are rated at 50% or more.

Maybe the magic one has realized the job is too tough and is guaranteeing not to be re-elected.
Ben Franklin once stated that beer is proof that God loves us and wants us to be happy. I tend to agree with him.

What better way to show your contempt for those (like me) who sacrificed to support and defend the Constitution?

I knew the Kenyan Klown had no respect for our military when he made his Germany visit. He opted to go to lunch, instead of visiting the wounded military in the hospital at Ramstein.

As far as I'm concerned, any vet should be able to go to any hospital they choose and get the very best care available at no charge to them. No ifs ands or butts about it.

Now, THAT sounds like a sensible Bill that should be introduced and passed. Just exactly in those terms and nothing else added.HighVelocity wrote:As far as I'm concerned, any vet should be able to go to any hospital they choose and get the very best care available at no charge to them. Every time that individual does or says something, I have less respect for him than before. Considering it started with zero, it's a very large negative number by now.

Typical for a president who has never served a day in the military.
