I'm a reloader!!!

Post by skip »

Ok.....So...maybe not yet..... I just got my RCBS equipment that I bought from Longtooth here on the forum. By the way...Longtooth is one heck of a nice guy to deal with, not only did if give me a sweet deal on a starter set-up, but has offered to answer any questions (he didn't have to offer that) I have, by just calling. My first steps are going to be figuring out the best place and way to set it up, while trying to find brass and other components. (Hey Charles...don't forget me in the next bullet order...lol). As I was taking the items out of the box, I'll admit I had that deer in the headlights stare. So I was thinking, He included Dies for 223 and .45, Maybe someone here in San Antonio (or reasonably close) who need to use one of these dies for a couple of hours, would be willing to let me watch them reload, in exchange for using my Dies. Or after I get my set-up done, will bring their components over here and reload using my stuff so I can watch. Is this reasonable? All I need now are...Components, A .40cal Die, and...oh yeah........ KNOWLEDGE!!!!! Skip

Longtooth is indeed a nice guy.

I found all of my dies on E-bay. Granted, they are older carbon steel dies but the price was right and they serve my purpose.

Congratulations and good luck.

Hey Skip! I've (as well as a few others) convinced a coworker to give us a class on reloading. If it comes to fruition, I'll let you know. I'm right down the road from you off of Bandera and Braun.

I've worked with a couple of people in the past to show them the basics. If your other deal falls though I will have some free time this summer to help y'all out. PM me if the need arises.
