Always have a spare
Sometimes, the smallest thing can turn into a big thing.
One morning I was getting dressed and *crack* the shirt tucker clip I had gotten for my Comp-Tac Infidel holster broke. Luckily, I had the original belt clip handy and in a few minutes I had changed it out and was on my way.
We all think about spare magazines and even spare guns, but it would be wise to have a spare holster as well.

According to a recent article in G&A, you should have a box full.

Laws that forbid the carrying of arms...disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes... (Jefferson quoting Beccaria)
... tyrants accomplish their purposes ...by disarming the people, and making it an offense to keep arms. - Supreme Court Justice Joseph Story, 1840

Re: Always have a spare
If my MTAC breaks (for which I have 3 holster bodies), I've got two other holsters each for 2 of my pistols, and one other for the third.

Plenty of spare holsters here, too. I choose the holster I use based on what attire I'm wearing that day.
Re: Always have a spare
The good think about comp tac is is it is still under a year since you got it they will replace for free. Should call them and see what they can do for you.

Re: Always have a spare
I've got 3 so far, and I'm always keeping my eye out for others.. I love my Don Hume IWB tuckable holster though, I'm going to buy another for my Colt to live in... I bought a belly band last week, I wore it everday, it needs some mods though, for someone as active as I am it doesnt always stay where it should.. I've had it fall out twice
Luckly I caught it both times. Still looking for a shoulder holster I like, haven't found one I like yet, probably have to have one made..

Re: Always have a spare
Looking for a good holster for a Glock 23, any suggestions? I have one that was locally made, and I like it, but I don't have any spares. Personally, I like the small of the back type, but I'd be willing to try others.

I also carry a Glock 23, the holster I use is a "Texas Heritage" IWB by Tucker Gunleather, out of Houston, Tx. Extremely well made and comfortable to wear.
Can't believe this, seven months on the site and this was my first post, gotta do better in the future.

Re: Always have a spare
One of the kydex belt clips snapped on my holster last week. Good thing was I had the foresight to order 2 sets of them. It was a 5 minute fix,and 3 -4 minutes of that time was trying to find out where the kids had carried the screwdriver off to.

Re: Always have a spare
I don't own one of those style holsters, so I don't know but wouldn't it be better/cheaper/sturdier/more secure/less aggravating to have those clips made out of spring steel than those cheap plastic one's that constantly break? It seems like a common occurrence, as I've heard this story many times.
