Any of ya'all twitter?

Post by nitrogen »

Unless someone tells me not to, I'm going to start posting good threads from here, and other good texas chl/gun info with the tag #txchl.

Any of ya'all that twitter can follow that, or add to it!
Btw, I'm c0t0d0s2 on twitter, if any of you are Solaris Unix geeks, you'll get the reference ;)

Twitter's all the rage with adolescent girls and emo kinda boys.

With Twitter, both groups keep up with important stuff like make-up and boy bands and twitter all about it.

Twitter- The virile, he-man way to communicate. Right?

No, wait, actually it sounds..."twitter, twitter" - hhhmmmm, has a sort of deviant ring to it, don't it, huh?

No sir, homie don't ring to dat tune! (thass with a e not a o)

While I do not use Twitter, I have learned in recent months that it is commonly used in crime fighting and has the ability to spread information to a huge number of people very quickly.

One example is the ability to circulate missing persons information.

Below is an article on the growing number of police agencies taking advantage of social networking:

I have an ulterior motive in this; I want to see the TSRA more active on the twittertubes, and I'm curious how to go about working this whole twitter thing, so I figure this is as good of an excuse as any.

The conservative movement has taken twitter by storm, and I think it's a great marketplace of ideas (some of which are scarier than anything a liberal can come up with, but that's freedom for ya, lol)

It's kinda fun, and I'm wondering how long until I tire of it ;)

I started an account to spread the word for business.
I found tweetdeck and just leave it open at work, I leave a few searches open.

It’s fascinating to me how quickly news will post, I follow all the local media

I am sure it will be worn out and forgotten in 2 years like myspace.

Our church (and a lot of other churches) are using it now as well. We are doing a summer staycation this year at our church. A lot of events going on. In order to get people to follow us on twitter we are having a few twitter only events. As in, the event will only be announced via twitter. So if you want to be involved, you better follow.

Also, its a quick way to get information out to a mass group of people (especially family and friends) quickly! In the 2008 Mumbai attacks, people updated twitter via their phones txt messages. Because of this, they helped compile a list of the dead and pass on emergency numbers and hospital locations. Even in the 2007 California fires, people were able to tell their family their location and the location of the fires.

I actually have a twitter account, and I have absolutely no idea of what I'm supposed to do with it.

To be or not to be: A TWIT!

To twitter is to be.

Now where did I leave my man bag, hhmmm...?

Perhaps if I purse my lips and shake my hips it'll suddenly appear. If not, at least I'll look cute, in a metro kinda way... (wouldn't wanna be confused with those other kinda guys)
