Standing firewatch while part of my VFD is in the parade. Otherwise I'd go to a Tea Party.

We're going to do our traditional 4th thing. We may go to the Arlington 4th of July parade. The heat may keep us from going though. If we don't, I'll spend the morning watching old b&w movies that have a 4th theme. War movies, Revolutionary War movies, documentaries, etc, etc, etc. That'll continue thru the afternoon. Then in early evening grilling steaks for the family.

I celebrated at the gun range today, you know, since I live in the city and fireworks are illegal and stuff. (Not that I really needed an excuse to go...)

Tomorrow: beer and barbeque. :cheers2:

Charity car show at Texas World Speedway for a good cause on July 5th. Going to the Bush Library on the 4th so the girlfriend can go through the museum and watch some fireworks. I'm sure we'll grill out tomorrow as well.

First Saturday IDPA match in the morning. What better way to celebrate The Fourth than exercising our First (free assembly) and Second Amendment rights! :patriot: In the evening the wife and I are going to a buddy's for BBQ and watch the fireworks in Beaumont. He has a business on the fringe of Downtown Beaumont with an excellent view of the fireworks. Everyone gathers at his place to eat, visit and watch the fireworks. Most there will be packing and a several are LEO should be pretty safe even in that three junk yard dog area of town. :evil2:
