Trained Observer
This may be a strange question, but here goes. I have always heard that police officers are "trained observers." How does one train to be an observer? Is there a police academy class Observation 101?

Re: Trained Observer
i think it is part of the training .
i beleive they are "trained " to take notice of physical details as part of every day activities related to their job .
such as judging ones body language , clothing description , and such , which translates to their personal life out of habit .
after going through the CHL course , i practice being an observer in my normal routine life. more so than ever before .
if i notice something out of the ordinary , i make it a point to remember details , such as make/model/lic.# ,ect
you just never know when you will be called upon to give a description or recall details of an event .
now , what was the question again ?
