Oldest Medal of Honor recipient turns 100

Post by seamusTX »

The oldest living Medal of Honor recipient, John William Finn, turned 100 years old today. He is also the last living Medal of Honor recipient from WW II.

On December 7, 1941, he manned a machine gun and harried Japanese planes that were strafing the Naval Air Station at Kaneohe Bay. He was shot five times in this incident.
