I got 3000 SR primers last week.

1K from Cabelas
2K from Weidners

I am OK with LP's and have enough SP's for now.

Things are loosening up a bit.

Frontier Liquor & Sporting Goods in Fallon, NV has all sorts of pistol primers. I hated to do it but figuring a "bird in the hand, etc., etc.", I just paid $39.99 plus tax for a 1000 Winchester LP primers. I could have bought more but $40/M - YIKES.

They are available online if you constantly look EVERY DAY, you gotta keep after it and you will find some at $30 +/-. Problem is the Hazmat/shipping fee. I have found SP and SR from Cabella's and Midway in the last 10 days and dont need any more for a good while. I went in with a buddy to split the HZMat fee to keep my cost below $40/1000.

As we speak Cabela's has SP Magtech primers right now.

I ordered 5k Win Large Pistol about 10 days ago from Powder Valley, they arrived Friday. $25 per thousand as I recall, plus hazmat work out to roughly 29/1000

Got 1K of Federal small pistol primers coming from Natchez Shooters Supply. And I was lucky to find them.

They shipped two days ago.

Found an assortment at Carter's Country this week.

Ended up walking away with 1500 Fiocchi Small Pistol primers.

Anyone have experience with them?

Yup, knew they've been around for awhile, just the first I've used their primers.

I'll be loading some 9mm with 'em soon, so I guess we'll see how they go.

Denny's Sports Guns & Maps in Cody, WY has oodles of Magnum Large Pistol primers and a few thousand small Pistol primers for $34.95/M if one happens to be in the neighborhood...and, I am. :woohoo He apparently also has plenty of rifle primers. Primers are out there, you just have to keep lookin'...far and wide.

BTW, The Cody Wal-Mart, like some in Colorado, also carries reloading supplies but only had shotshell primers in stock. What would it take to get the Texas Wal-Marts to carry reloading stuff?

I purchased some Winchester Small pistol primers a few months back at the Texas City Walmart. $4.12 per hundred...they had a thousand in stock at the time. I had never seen primers at Walmart before then.

Cabelas in Buda had lots of Federal large pistol primers in stock this morning, but no small pistol, rifle or large rifle.
