With that in mind, I'm wondering if anyone here is interested in buying my brass in relatively small quantities. I noticed that Garland Shooting Range (sister range to Eagle Peak here in Austin area where I shoot occassionally) sells their collected range brass on their web site ... see link http://www.eaglepeakshootingrange.com/gpsr/brass.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
I just started collecting recently and before today was only collecting my revolver brass (why empty the cylinder onto the ground, just dump the used shells back in the cardboard box). Today I decided to collect my .40 cal and picked up about 70 of the 100 rounds I shot (rest ended up down range). So at the moment I have three 50-count boxes of .38 Special and 70-count total of .40 cal. I try to shoot at least every other week, so if I can start making a habit of collecting I should have some small quantity available shortly (.38 spl, .380 acp, .40 s&w, and .223/5.56). Everything I shoot is store bought from large manufacturers. Been shooting up some Monarch brass from Academy (bought during the ammo rush), but now getting back to shooting factory Winchester, Remington, Federal etc. as I find it.
I'd be willing to charge less than the Garland range ... say $7.50 per 100 plus shipping (actual USPS rates as close as I can guesstimate them). I'll also try to include the factory boxes and cartridge trays if I have them (or do y'all prefer just the brass?)
Anyway, y'all let me know if anyone is interested. Call this my new "green" Earth-friendly recycling plan
