MI: 70-year-old woman stops deranged attacker

Bedford Township, Michigan (Battle Creek area), Thursday, a young neighbor woman came to the home of a 70-year-old woman and reportedly said that her "boyfriend" was abusing her. The woman called the police.

The "boyfriend" showed up and tried to attack the elderly woman with a shovel. She retreived a .38-caliber revolver and told him to go away. He said he was going to take the weapon away from her.

He found out differently.

He is expected to survive and has been charged with felony assault.

His mother says her precious little boy wouldn't hurt a fly.

That may or may not be true. However, recent events indicate that the suspect's reported soft spot for flies apparently didn't carry over to people.

Doesn't it just irk you to no end when the low life's mother is totally
in denial about her low life kid?

It's good that the granny had her revolver, but the weak part of her gun
plan was that she had to load the 5 rounds into her revolver before
she was ready to use it. A more serious attacker could have killed her
easily during the loading time.

This is dismally common at the shallow end of the gene pool. They will often go as far as threatening and attacking the police, prosecutors, judges, and witnesses to avenge their "loved one."

The law of kharma being what it is, these are often the same people who kill their mother for her social security check.

Everyone has their personal "Alamo." Maybe now she will get a concealed-carry license.

Of course, she would not have needed a license at home; but as we know, many people feel safe at home. This episode shows just how fast and unexpectedly the balloon can go up.
