CO: Business owner no-billed for shooting thief

In Colorado Springs, in April, the owner of a car lot fatally shot an alleged burglar. This week, he was no-billed by the grand jury. The prosecutor had not recommended charges.

Among other irregularities, the man reportedly lied to police about what happened before the shooting and tried to hide the weapon. The police reports totaled 145 pages (which I have not read).

Colorado law does not allow the use of deadly force to prevent theft.

IMHO, this guy skated very close to the edge and got away with it.
