O'Bama (Irish Spelling) in our schools

"Back in the day" when my kids were in public school and some liberal from outside or within the school district would come to address one of their classes I would inquire as to the subject and then decide if I wanted them to hear it. (Believe me, it's always a liberal pushing a liberal ideology) If not, I would inform the school's Principal that my son/daughter would need to go to the library during this time. This would usually happen when the school counselor/nurse/police officer would come to class and speak of the horrors of corporal punishment (spanking) and the need to report parents for doing so. Or asking if your parents had firearms at home and where they were kept or just anything in general that had nothing to do with Reading, Writing, or Arithmetic, etc. At 1st I'd get static. I would then inform them that the subject at hand had NOTHING to do with school and if they proceeded to make it an issue I would move on up the ladder of authority until I found a school district bureaucrat that realized I was serious and was willing to take up as much of his/her time as necessary to get my way. If my time to deal with this matter was limited a Dentist/Dr. appointment became necessary. Never ask if it is OK for your child to miss a mass indoctrination, it won't be. Needless to say my kids spent a lot of time in the library and they knew why. I eventually was able to move them to private schools.

The LIBERAL school Principals, Teachers, Nurses, Police Officers would often ask of my objections....sometimes I would inform them that it none of their business, sometimes I would let them know and that as the parent and I would decide what my children heard....as any good parent would.
