People of WalMart

Post by A-R »

This has been plastered all over the internet, Facebook, emails etc. I've received this link no less than 4 times in 24 hours. I guess this is what the kids mean when they say something has "gone viral" on the internet?

Anyway, with all the talk on this forum about "Wally Walks" etc., I thought I'd just share the link. Hopefully no one from this forum is pictured. But trying to find photos to send to this site (winners get a $100 Wal Mart gift card - that's a few boxes of ammo at least) might be a nice addition to the normal Wally Walk routine.

I take offense to this thread as I shop at Walmart for groceries.

How would the OP react if I posted a "People of Austin" thread?

I go to WalMart too and find this site to be hysterical. It's just pics of funny folks you run across at WalMart. Not any different than the pics people take of hacked up car modifications...and really, the batman bug is funny looking...

back in my younger days, maybe 5 years ago, my college buddies and I were at walmart around 4am and chased spiderman around the store. No idea who he was but a guy dressed up like spiderman in the walmart in waco.

Just a slight topic hijacks here but...

Speaking of vehicle mods, check out this fine example.

I took this picture on July 4th 2007 in Tennessee.

Words seem so inadaquate to describe all the various 'tasteful' mods on this truck, but special mention to some of the less obvious mods, the spider web windshield design and the read view mirror 'decorations'.....and "yes" that really is what you think it is on the rear view!

I have been in many places (with the Air Force) and work at many times (with Air Force). I have had to go into WalMart after 2 - 3 am. There be some weird walk-in folks. But you see them later, walking to the truck parked in the handicapped slot...good to go.

The Batbug is cute, but he is at risk for getting stopped by LEO's.

He has no front license plate, which is required by Texas law.

I've pointed this out to people who have no front plate and I have been told
repeatedly that "I don't have to have one because my BMW/VW/whatever has no
front license plate holder so it's OK".

Has anyone seen an exemption in Texas law that you don't have to display a front
plate just because the dealer was too lazy to equip your new car with a front license
plate holder?

I didn't think so. :_)

By the way, at a Wal-Mart in/near Smyrna, GA I saw this monstrously fat woman wearing
a pink sweatshirt that said "I'm not fat. I'm just fluffy." Whatever.

That's actually a great idea ... 6thstreetphotos.com or something like that ... of course, you'd actually have to GO TO Sixth Street to get the photos, which I'm not keen on doing these days. At least when I walk into Wal Mart, I can check out the ammo selection and $5 DVD bins.

Amen: when I dislocated my knee, i spent a lot of time hobbling with a cane around stores that had carts because the land-whales had already grabbed all of them.
