Im computer literate and have done web development for a long time, but never bothered to learn how to do forms properly. I came across a site for creating your own custom forms called JotForm. Its a WYSIWYG editor designed to allow you to make your own forms and then incorporate them into your website. In testing, they worked great. I had it set up to collect student information and then take them to the PayPal site where they could pay for the class. Welllllll.... apparently theres a limit on how many times JotForm allows you to use their forms without having a subscribed service (not mentioned on their site by the way) from them. I had a student register several members of his family only to run into this limitation. Needless to say this was a major inconvenience to the student in my eyes) and made me look bad to boot. Thankfully the student contacted me to tell me of the error he was getting and I was able to gut the forms and simply point everything to the PayPal site without error.

Just some bad experience I wanted to pass on to hopefully save someone some grief...

What a rip off! I never bothered to look at the "Premium" end thinking "why would I pay for something thats free?"

I certainly wasnt getting 100 a month I can promise you (my actual first class is tomorrow btw ).

I used Microsoft Frontpage to generate my site. I will link up to Access databases and you can do as many forms as your heart desires. Just make sure your hosting service is FP compatible.

Maybe the issue ?

Frontpage hasnt been updated in many years and worse the front page extensions that the hosting providers use to "support frontpage" have been subject of serious exploits for years. Any host that cares about security wont run Frontpage extensions

Not everyone here has the time to learn new software to create exotic websites using the latest sparkly whizbang tools. I use what I like and know.
I have used FP for many years, have never had a single issue. It works great for me.

If you have web development experience and are even minimally familiar with PHP and mySQL, you can install Joomla® on your domain and get around all of this nonsense. If you don't have the time or the familiarity, contact me. My information is in the PM I sent you.

...92f-fan is right. I provide each and every client of mine 2 hours of training in the use of the CMS as part of my fee, and believe me, they all understand it once it is explained to them. And Joomla isn't the "latest sparkly whizbang tool." It has been around for many years, and it just keeps getting better and better. It just isn't that hard to learn. Of course, I have a few clients that simply don't want to know how, and they are content to just pay me at my hourly rate to do their content updates for them (and I am content to take their money).

But here is what is critical... Not every webhost supports Front Page extensions, but almost ALL webhosts support PHP and mySQL. Going that way gets you out of dependence on clunky Microsoft products and gets you into a much more flexible (and secure) world.

TAM, I have my own domain, and used to use Frontpage as well, until my server stopped supporting the Frontpage extensions, and now I am without.

Recently I have taken up the responsibility for St. Jude's Childrens Hospital, on a local level through friend of whom, he and his wife run an annual event in Cold Springs area.
Prior to this, I hadn't used my domain (other than for familiar - and unchanging - email addresses), so I thought I could get back on FP and found out that I couldn't.

So I started using Expressions (Microsoft suggested this as it is one of their own for a WYSIWIG program), however it does not do some of the simple things that FP did (at least not without knowledge of SQL or other programming, which to be honest, I do not have the time or the want to learn, but may be forced to.

So, after this long run up, do you know of a generic WYSIWIG program that would work for a website that will not be doing any donations online, won't need interactive pages and not a whole lot of fluff, other than uploading some videos of the annual event, which I can just hyperlink without any preview screen.
