Packet Mailed to Applicant

Post by n624mm »

My paperwork was completed and mailed to DPS around the 2nd of September, however my online status still shows "Packet Mailed to Applicant". This seems like a long time to wait to get a simple acknowledgement of receipt. Is this normal or should I call and confirm they've received my packet?

Thanks

You would think they'd update the status page at a reasonable pace, if for nothing else than to keep the applicants off their backs.

On a side note, I've seen people post the "Processing" status in their sigs here as soon as 14 days after the "Received" date (that seems to be the minimum lag).
Took class, paid fees, changed my mind. I want constitutional carry.

Received confirmation Utah is processing application 8/18/2009
As of 8/18/2009 DPS WebSite still says "Application Incomplete"

8/22/09 Received a package today from DPS. Had a letter telling me the DOB on my fingerprint card was not in the proper format. I had put X/XX/XXXX and they wanted XX/XX/XXXX. So I put a 0 in front of the nine for the month and mailed it back.
9/6/2009 Application incomplete still on the website.
9/10/2009 Web site has been changed to reflect "processing application"
9/20/09 Web Site still says "Application Processing"

I dont care...heck I am armed 90% of my awake time. Guns at the house. Guns at my office. Guns in my truck. About all the CHL will do for anybody is give them the right to walk around the store with it. Which I want (don't get me wrong)...but my Utah license will be here soon so what me worry :) Texas....see above
