1966 - The first Chevrolet Camaro went on sale. This was for the 1967 model. Original code-name for the project was "Panther."

I own a '95 Camaro, so I found that interesting.

I also read on the planes flying around the world. There were four planes originally and the article said out of the four there were two crashes, one crashed into a mountain side on the Alaska Peninsula during dense fog, this was the plane named Seattle, and the other was forced down in the North Atlantic and sunk in rough seas while being towed, this plane was named Boston. A prototype of Boston was sent to Nova Scotia and named Boston II and the crew rejoined the rest of the convoy. As for the crew who crashed into the moutain side, they both hiked out of the wilderness. So during this whole thing, there were two planes lost and no one died. I find that interesting seeing as it took place in 1924. They made a total of 61 stops throughout the flight.
