In Groves, Texas (Port Arthur area), Thursday, a grand jury indicted a 37-year-old man for aggravated assault and injury to an elderly person after he was accused of beating his 100-year-old grandmother and his sister.

The older woman was kicked and thrown to the ground, while the assailant hit the younger woman with his hand. Williams [100 years old] was seriously injured, according to reports at the time.
