Dallas: ShotSpotter gunfire ID tool on hold due to utility

The above link details the ShotSpotter high tech system, which identifies gunfire's location and number
of shots fired, enabling LEO's to be dispatched to the correct area.

Dallas averages 16,000 random gunfire incidents a year.

Oak Cliff is a crime ridden neighborhood within the City of Dallas.
It has a mixture of stately homes with nice lawns, and crack dens on the
next block.

Well that's a novel concept. Kinda like a local area GPS for gunfire. :lol:

But phew. At $250,000 per square mile to implement the system, taxpayers get ready to dig deeper in your pockets.

And for $100 at your local firework dealer, you can overload it hundreds of times.
