Thank You!
Hey guys, new to actual posting but not to the forum. I've only had my CHL for a few months, but I've gathered so much valuable information and support from you guys just by reading your daily comments. I just wanted to say thank you!

Re: Thank You!
Thanks guys for making me feel welcome! I feel like I already know most of you since I've been reading your posts for quite sometime.
I'm one of those guys where nothing fits right, jeans, shoes, and yes even holsters. For example, I ordered a crossbreed supertuck that everyone loves. I got mine and tried every angle and cant. I never could get it comfortable. It made my hip bone very sore and actually made my big toe numb. Not the holster, just me. Crossbreed was great to work with, and they let me exchange it for the qwikclip, which I can't wait to get. If I find something that actually works for me, I buy 3 or 4 of them to last a good ten years just in case they stop making them. So, short story made long, I found that a Fist #1 clip holster at appendix carry is perfect for me. Add a pt 140, and I'm pretty comfortable, although I plan on replacing my tarurus with a springfield xd subcompact 40. Shot one last weekend and feel in love with it. I also carry a LCR in a fist pocket holster in my jackets. I haven't been able to carry it in a pant holster. It just sticks out too much. I also carry the LCR in a galco lite ankle holster, very comfortable.
I reside in the Wichita Falls area; been here all my life. I'm looking for some defensive training in this area. Any advice would be helpful.
Already did my wally walk, but no pics. I'll try to take some next time I go. Then, I'll post some picks when I figure out how to insert images.

Closest instructor we have on the board is Crossfire. She may know of training in your area. Maybe another borad member is close enough to know.

Re: Thank You!
Longtooth,
I noticed that you were a preacher and I'm sure you get this question all the time, but I'm going to ask anyway. Do you ever feel like carrying is a sign of not having faith that God will provide safety? I know Jesus's diciples carried swords, but they really didn't need them; they were walking with Christ. Do you think they were carrying because they weren't all in with the idea that Christ was who he said he was? Do you think they wore life preservers when Christ calmed the stormy waters? I sometimes struggle with this and didn't know if you had some good advice or scripture that I could lean on when I began to feel this way. I'm still going to carry because I refuse to allow my family and myself to be helpless victims, but sometimes this nags at me. Thansk Teach22

Re: Thank You!
Did you try moving it further back? If you get another similar holster in the future, try pushing it back to around a 4:30 position. It will get it off the bony part of your hip.Teach22 wrote:For example, I ordered a crossbreed supertuck that everyone loves. I got mine and tried every angle and cant. Re: Thank You!
Koolaid,
I tried everything. When I wore it a 4:30, it caused me to have lowerback problems. I'm not really a wimp, honest, just have some old sport injuries I have to work around. My body shape just won't allow me to carry a 3. I think my hips jut out some and my wife says I have no butt to keep the butt of the gun close to my body. Ooch! No, she said it somewhat lovingly??????

Re: Thank You!
haha, I have the same problem. It is compounded by the fact that my natural waist is really high enough that if I wore my pants where they should be I'd look like Urkle.Teach22 wrote:Koolaid,

Glad you found something else that does work!
