Time has come...

For me to surrender my seat in the Waiting Room!
Yes, mixed in amongst the grocery ads, the makeup flyers, the real estate cards, was the letter from the TXDPS office. Woot!

So, it is with great pleasure I slip the plastic card into my wallet, push my well-used chair under the table, and say 'goodbye' to the lukewarm coffee and day-old doughnuts in this room.... I is a license-holder.

Congratulations Bill! I still have a bit a time in here myself, and I know my wife does (she got the dreaded "fingerprints don't meet minimum requirements" letter and had to have them redone... BTW, thanks for your help in getting that done last Saturday llwatson... VERY MUCH appreciated!!).

Now, about that doughnut sitting over there... ;-)

Congrats Bill! I guess next time the XD-9SC won't be brought to the range in a box.......

S&W - I know. :( I still need to take the class. Stuff going on will prevent that for a few more weeks at least. Possibly 3rd weekend of August.

Cyphur, Hang in there. I understand about things getting in the way. Hopefully, we'll find you a carry gun next weekend to get you started.

Thanks Gents.

No, still need to get the Belt/Holster before I start toting stuff.
To tell the truth, I was a bit concerned on the length of time it took to get the silly thing, what with the conflicting instructions I got, and the website status never changing. Didn't want to push thru the larger purchases until I had it in my hot little hands.

I believe the issue revolved around the picture I sent in with my fingerprints, but they didn't mention it directly.
