Local purchase for CTAC

Post by barres »

I know we have a number of members that live near Spring, TX. I recently found out that Comp-Tac is based in Spring (I know I should have noticed this a long time ago, but I can be kind of oblivious every now and again), and i'm not far from there, myself.

Does Comp-Tac have any kind of storefront where I could see their products or have any of you in that area arranged a FTF transaction on one of their products? Money is tight, so Id like to save the shipping charges, since I go through Sring on a regular basis.

(Gasp!) Say it ain't so! I'm needing an IWB for a S&W 19-5, maybe they have one?!? Ohhh, if someone knows the answer to this, please say so while I go get the cash and hide the checkbook.

Collectors Firearms in Houston (Richmond and Fondren) usually has a good supply of Comp-Tac, as does Top Gun also in Houston off Hillcroft (?)

I understand the Comp-Tac guys shoot at Top Gun on, I think, Tuesday evenings.

I do not think they have a storefront. You can order online if you do not want to make the trip into Houston to go to Collector's or TG.

I finally got around to sending them an e-mail. No storefront, as several stated. They did tell me that Carter's Country and Sportsman's Outlet carry their line of products. Neither of these would be much further of a trip than Spring itself, for me, so I may drive down and check out their selection the next time I get a day off.

Picked up a CTAC for the wife's G19 at Sportsman's Outlet in Humble this afternoon. I'll try it over the weekend and post a review on Monday!

For now, I'll say it is for the wife's G19, but I hope in the near future to pick up a G23 for myself!

I'm obviously late in finding this thread, but for future reference, Carter's Country is no stocking C-Tac holsters.
