The AFCop family would like to announce the addition of yet another future CHL Holder (If there is still a requirement then) to this world. She was born at 0409 hours today weighing 8lbs 13.7 ounces measuring 21 3/4 long. Mom and Bryannah are both doing great!

As for "The Boyfriend Scare" my daughter is almost 4 and I've been working on my techniques since before she was born. At this point, I'm thinking when the first boy comes calling I'll just be sitting quitely with a dead stare and dry firing my Glock at nothing in particular, glance at the boy, glance back at my Glock, give a wry grin, then go back to dead stare, dry fire, rack slide, dry fire again. Never say a word
That'll make him think twice

Re: Bryannah Marie 1-28-2010
Like it.......but doesn't that meet "In a Manner calculated to alarm" in the Dis Ord Conduct statute. Lets call it a repetative funtion check conducted to ensure the prolonged proper functioning of your self defense firearm in a mechanically stressful battery of tests (I think that will remove that element), kinda like that rolly thing they use on expensive mattresses to show they last forever. See its not what you do, its how you word it!!!!
P.S. Thanks for the congrats everyone!

Congratulations on the new baby girl.
As a father of 3 beautiful little girls with the oldest at 8 yrs old, I think the prolonged functions check sounds like a good one to me.

Congrats Bro!!!
Re: Bryannah Marie 1-28-2010
first of all congrats.
I have two daughters 16 and 18 so I can tell you about boyfriend intimidation ....... er the respect my daughter talk
first boy through the door saw me putting together my new CMMG ar. the second saw dryfire practice with my Savage F Class rig. and the third just got the big tatted out guy in a wife beater. so far all the above tactics have worked well. the next I think I will just make sure he meets me while I am in the garage with the oh so subtle 24 gun safe in the corner
ETA: I forgot about the "boyfriend" who thought it was cute to egg peoples houses. he got a framed copy of the castle doctrine.

Congrats!
I plan to use the birth of a child as an excuse to buy a new gun when we start our family. Just think, years down the road you would have a gun to give them and a great story to go along with it - it might be worth a shot.

Exactly what I did when I found out I was going to have a 3rd girl. Figured I needed something bigger than the Glock 22, so I went out the next day and bought a Mossberg 500.
