Welcome Home Surprise!

Post by jbirdswife »

We returned today from a few days out of town and guess what was in the mailbox?! Yes - - my CHL had arrived! I think Jason was more excited about it than I was!

I mailed the packet to Austin on June 5th, so it was right around 60 - 63 days.

Thank you everyone for the congratulations!

Charles - I will be babysitting Sunday, but I promise that I will come out soon!

SRVA - No IDPA for me just yet, I am still on official "camera duty" for Jason. I am planning to attend the women's group at PSC the first Saturday that I am available!

El Gato - A lot of this is thanks to you! I would never have felt comfortable enough to take your CHL class if you had not been willing to meet me at the range for some instruction and shown so much patience and encouragement! THANK YOU!!!

Seadawg - Do you know me at all?! :o That is just what Jason needs - - an excuse to buy more guns under the premise that they are for me!! Please tell Mrs. Seadawg hey for me!

High Velocity - a trip to Walmart is on the agenda soon! I think I will need something a little less "loud" than the pink kydex holster before I can venture out into the retail world!

Thanks again everyone!

Congrats again Kimberly. It excites me to know there is another couple walking armed in armed. (close as I can get to a joke so yall laugh now.)
Go get her a gun jbird. That is not needing an excuse. I just bought, traded for, the wife a new one for the range. She is moving up from a .380 to a .40. Thank you reysc. She likes it. When my Mom shoots it the 1st time I may need another one for her too. Not much more fun than buying guns for the ladies in my life.

Sometime this month (hopefully... the 18th will mark 60 days) there'll be one more "couple in arms" that you can add to the list, although Kathy's CHL might suffer a delay that could make that creep into next month due to her having to resubmit her fingerprints.

She's not happy about that at all, especially since she won't be able to pack her new anniversary present until that plastic arrives (we had our 19th on Tuesday). I got her what she really wanted (believe it!), a Walther P99-QA 9mm with OD frame, and she got me a Colt CCO 1911 .45. She sure is one sweet lady!
