Carry In Hospital
Went to see my step dad in hospital today. Not a government hospital just a regular community type. They had on the entrance a circle with picture of gun with a slash, also a circle with picture of knife with a slash. Like a no smoking sign if you get my drift. My hubs said "you can't take your gun in there" I told him, "yes I can, was not a proper 30.06 posting. So to settle this debate who was correct? I am new to chl but it was my understanding that the circles with the slashes meant nothing. I carried in the hospital but my hubs was frantic the entire time. So next time I go to the hospital do I disarm before going in or do as I did today and thumb my nose at that sign?

Same basic situation here so you'll probably get similar answers. IMO I'd probably carry since that sign could be interpreted as one of those "no unlicensed possession" type of signs which doesn't apply to those with CHLs. But if it's discovered being the test case will be co$tly. I'd hope though if you needed to use it for a clear cut self defense case if there's no one else around to protecst you and there's no where to hide ...it would be worth it.

Re: Carry In Hospital
The sign had no words on it just the circle with the slash through the gun pic. Matter of fact I didn't even see it. it was not actually even a sign was a decal or so hubs said.

No Proper 30.06 Notification == Carry Away...
... Unless it's a school XD
Hospitals must post proper 30.06 notification. See TPC 46.035(i) for more details.
