N00b question: I've never been to an NRA convention, but am idly considering going this year. BUT... I have no idea what goes on there, what the experience is like. I found the website for the 2010 convention, but it's pretty dry. Any suggestions on how I could learn more about whether attending would be worthwhile for me?

Be there when the doors open on Friday. Wear comfortable shoes. Bring a backpack for swag. Go to the banquet on Saturday evening. It may take you two days to see all of the show vendors. Some side session meetings are good. Bring money to buy goodies. The Beretta booth always is doing firesale prices on something (like 50%-75% off).
