Genocide and terrorist attacks happen routinely in countries with lots of gun control like India and many parts of Africa. However, give a totally untrained young girl an AK47, and she can take out terrorists the very first time she ever pulls the trigger. The right to defend yourself is a basic human right. An AK47 is a great equalizer since it is an intuitive weapon that is easy to use even for peasant farmer girls and raw conscripts. I invite you to read the following true story of self-defense. P.S. In contrast, the UN doofus soldiers who promise to protect the refugees in Darfur ended up raping the young girls that they were supposed to protect.
