Happy Texas Independence Day!

Post by MojoTexas »

On March 2, 1836, the Texas Declaration of Independence was signed and the Republic of Texas was declared independent of Mexico. David G. Burnet was elected interim president by the delegates. Two days later, Sam Houston was appointed commander of the Texas military forces.

I found this looking for misc art and design ideas........The "Come and Take It" Gonzales cannon, I always thought it was bigger, obviously big enough to start the Texas Revolution.
