Anyone have an Andrews Monarch shoulder holster?

Post by RHenriksen »

It looks like a strong possibility for me, but I'd love to be able to check one out in person before plunking down $250. I really like the extra backstrap to keep the holster from swinging forward if you have lean over.

I'm in Houston - am hoping to find an owner of one of these in the greater Houston area who wouldn't mind letting me pay a visit to check it out.

thanks,

RNH

About 4 yrs ago I was looking for one. I was looking at the Monarch & an Alessie Bodyguard.
Actually the Monarch was my first choice except I did not want to get on a year waiting list. Both were the same lead time then. I started watching for one or the other used. A Bodyguard hit one of the boards & I bought it. I am not dissappointed in it but the Monarch was still my 1st choice. If no one is able to let you try theirs I dont think you will be disappointed in it.

I have one but I'm not in the Houston area. I'm thinking about selling it. What gun are you going to use it for?

I did not pay 250 or wait for a year ;-)

Interesting! :-) I've got a S&W M&P full sized, and a Walther PPS.

Where are you?

I'm in Lewisville, just north of Dallas. Mine is for an XD9/40. I can tell you that the quality is top notch but his prices have gone up quite a bit over the past few years. They are modular and he could make a holster for your gun(s) but with his prices I don't know if buying my rig and doing that would be cost effective.

As a small business owner (and economics major in college), I can understand the price hikes in the face of overwhelming demand. OTOH, scaling the biz is the other way to go...
