A plug for one of our own

Post by DaveT »

Just wanted to say a little about two holsters that I have received from one of our own here on the texas CHL forum. Eric goes by ' particle ' here on the board and he makes some mighty fine holsters !

The two he made for me are my choice of OWB with sweat shields and no thumbreak, just open top. Eric made one for my 3 inch Kimber Stainless Ultra Raptor and another for my 4 inch stainless Kimber Pro Raptor. Both guns fit perfectly in their respective holsters and they are truly fine representations of first class craftsmanship.

What is the most stunning feature to me is Eric's blend of both black and brown on both holsters. This kind of color blend could be worn with either a brown or black belt and the holsters look good with either.

As noted in the pictures below, I have Crimson Trace grips on both of the Kimbers and the holsters fit to the grips perfectly.

Delivery time is just a few weeks if he has a dummy model for your handgun, and his prices are way below what a lot of the brand names charge.

Eric, or ' particle ' here on the board has his own web site: http://www.adamsleatherworks.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I highly recommend his work !!

Nice! :tiphat:

Interesting that you can see the formed ejection port on the 3" one but not on the 4" one. Was that an option?

Also, does he have a website and possibly holsters ready to ship or is it custom order only?

Alan,

I do not know why the difference on the ejection oirt outline between the two holsters. It wasn't an option as far as placing the order.... at lest not that I know of anyway. If you talk with Eric about a holster, you might ask him.

As to your question about holster availability..... you can pm him here on the board.... particle.... or his web site is above: http://www.adamsleatherworks.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Be safe,
Dave

Very nice holsters, I like the color of the leather very much, will either have to wait till he makes one for the guns I have or buy a gun that fits his holsters :lol:

Alan,

One thing I forgot to mention above is that you will have excellent communication with Eric throughout the process. After I let him know today that the 3 inch holster had arrived, I received an e-mail in short order from him.... just wanting to make sure everything was all right, and did I have any suggestions for changes. Customer service like that is hard to find these days !

Be safe,
Dave

Dave,

Yes, he has already contacted me confirming my order and I look forward to the finished product. Currently using a Galco only because I cannot stand to wait months for a custom holster and after you commented on the short wait time and price I jumped right on it.

Thanks again for the post!

I can't say anything about Eric that has not already been said. I had a special order and he bent over backwards to order the dummy pistol and build my holster. The craftsmanship is 200% plus.

I have also added him to our holster resource list. http://www.texaschlforum.com/viewtopic. ... 461#p72461" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

While I am not a fan of open carry, and I sure don't want to start a debate about that here..... these holsters look so good, it's sad that they have to be covered up !!!

Great Looking Holsters... For a momenst I thought this was a gentelman named Erik Larsen, who made my OWB holster for my CZ75,, but no.. It is another forum member with nice skills.
If he made something for my carrys guns, I'd love to try one his designs.
:waiting: mayby i should by a gun to fit one of his models :evil2:

Got mine today and WOW! Exceptional quality and finish! I went with the "Avenger" style in black leather with black thread and optional sweat shield for my 4.25" 1911's. I really like that it is a much smaller footprint on my belt than the Galco pancake I was using. :thumbs2:

This is the best value for money in a holster I have seen and believe me I have had several drawers full (both off the shelf and some customs)! :shock:

Thank's again DaveT for putting me onto this and thank's Eric for such a fine product and great workmanship! :cheers2:

I will be ordering another one later on, once I decide what color to get. :coolgleamA:

BTW.....I also like that it is made in the USA and specifically in Texas! :txflag:
