Body Gaurd Carry anywhere?

Post by marksiwel »

Saw a Big Shot while in Dallas (At the Gaylord), and his Body Guards were with him and were obviously packing (Cheap suits don't hide holster bulges) So if you are a Body Guard can you carry places other people cant with a CHL?

If they're "peace officers or special investigators under Article 2.122, Code of Criminal Procedure" there's one set of rules. If they're "engaged in the performance of the person's duties as a personal protection officer under Chapter 1702, Occupations Code" that's a different set of rules.

You can spit in Grapevine and hit their Airport, you're Dallas.

Yes, Level four security officers can carry while performing their jobs in places CHL holders can't.

It's the Dallas/Fort Worth airport, pallie, and little or none of the airport is on Dallas land. It's on Grapevine and Irving land, which means that part of it is in Dallas County, and part of it is in Tarrant County. Dallas is 20 miles away. The Gaylord is on the shores of Grapevine Lake, within the Grapevine city limits. I suppose if you live in Atascocita or League City, you're in Houston?

Don't MAKE me come down there and show you a map!

I found the following: http://www.texassecuritylicense.com/aus ... vel_iv.htm

Can anybody summarize the difference in level 3 and level 4? Depending on where I could carry, it might be worth taking the course.
