DPS speed

Post by zeroskillz »

Well I've been waiting a bit, had to get extra paperwork from Maryland for the DPS. Finally got the paperwork from Maryland, faxed it into the DPS, and within 30 minutes my status had changed form 'Application Incomplete' to 'Processing Application'. Might have even been faster, I just hadn't thought to check it. Even so I didn't expect the status to change so fast. Now I'm getting excited!

Well, one hour ago I faxed them some papers they requested, and I just got off the phone with them. They did not receive them! Reminds me of when the County Sheriffs faxed them my records search over two months ago and they didn't receive it either!

If you are talking to me, player twister, I have received my license! They didn't receive my fax because I had the papers in upside down! My fault! Nobody was in the office to show me how the machine worked! I have since bought my own 4 in one machine and it has directions!
I forgot I posted in this thread. Updated another thread.

Don't feel bad. I am a network engineer. I work with some of the most complicated equipment out there.

However, I cannot for the life of me operate a fax machine properly. If I had a nickel for every time I faxed stuff backwards, i'd have paid my CHL fees

I can still sing songs from the early eighties with the eight track breaks as part of the lyrics. Willie Nelson's "Red headed Stranger " was a favorite . . .

Same here, took me a good few minutes to figure out how to fax stuff. The worst time I've had is that it took me 4 months to figure out how to correctly conference people over the phone system we have here - but I co-administer the network of a 63k student, 7k faculty college district

Yes remember the old slip sticks. A guy w/ one of those was about as fast & accurate as one w/ a calculator today. Mom made a denim holster for mine that I wore on my belt.
