wife & mom application problems...

Post by 64zebra »

wife was born on Clarke AFB (Phillipines) while her dad was stationed there in 1974, got dual citizenship (of course kept the US citizenship), she got a letter back saying they needed to confirm her citizenship, etc, has not got a letter about her PIN #, had to get gov't papers and birth cert from her parents to mail in

mom got a letter informing her that her fingerprints were rejected, blah blah blah, the DPS accepted them, the FBI rejected 'em
got 'em redone this weekend, she has not received a letter with PIN # yet either

finally, after taking the class and sending packet in June, my wife got her license in mid-October, my mom however hadn't heard anything back yet, even after calling several times and not talking to a human, so yesterday she emailed them, got a reply in 30 minutes, they said they're waiting on backgound check and they would ask the County in question what the holdup is
my question is.....what county? does the DPS have the Sheriff dept of the applicants residence conduct local checks and send info to the DPS? wouldn't this have been taken care of by now (five months later)?
my mom is 60 years old and never had so much as a speeding ticket, she is very frustrated and I perplexed

Talk to someone, call the posted number. when the computer voice answers, press '0', you'll get a human most the time. Don't hesitate to call daily. That is way too much time.

if you dont get results, complain here, scroll down toward the bottom

I was born in Japan myself. When i sent my application, i sent a copy of my passport. good luck to your mom

Glad to know both ladies are now legal to carry. I appreciate the company.
