Machete the movie - IDK what to even say about this

Post by Fangs »

Some of the words are racially charged, but if Mr. Jones is right, then we'll be in one heck of a mess sooner rather than later. I put this in the political section because I think it carries far more political weight and doesn't deserve to be posted next to topics on Red Dawn or Gran Torino.

Spew enough hate-filled "victim mentality" into enough children, and you'll get the results seen in parts of Africa. Like Rwanda. Ironic, they used machetes too. :banghead:

Oh Alex Jones. After watching him explain the script, your pretty terrified. After watching the actual trailer, it would appear that the script is much more satirical in nature. I think Illegal aliens rising up because of this fill to fuel a communist revolution is tantamount to myself becoming militant after watching Team America: World Police.

Yeah, I agree. Don't make a mountain out of a molehill...you can be certain that (assuming the movie meets the claims) that the MSM will be out in force, baiting people. Don't bite. Laugh and say it was a silly movie and move on.

The "trailer" for Machete was in Grindhouse, a 2007 film by Robert Rodriguez and Quentin Tarantino.

If a reporter asked me what I thought about Machete, I would answer that I liked From Dusk Til Dawn better. Unless I wanted to mess with them. Then I would pause, look thoughful, and answer that I thought Spy Kids 2 was more edgy.
This will only hurt a little. What comes next, more so.

Alex Jones once again proves that he is a few french fries short of a happy meal. This is and always been pure satire. But you can't tell that to a conspiracy theorist....

I realize that he takes more than a few things way out of context, but at the same time I don't doubt that there will be a few people who take this movie's satirical message to heart as fact. How would the media respond if it was a white guy murdering evil, bloodthirsty minorities?

I just watched the remake of "3:10 to Yuma" this past weekend, and I liked it. Very entertaining.

Would that be in reference to the anniversary of The Magnificent Seven?

So we now know for a FACT that the script of "Machete" was not written by Robert Rodriguez, it is instead a "SCI OP"

And we of course know for a FACT that Robert Rodriguez is a "dupe" or "a government agent" ... not sure which, but at least one of those is a FACT

Thanks for clearing that up for us, Alex.

I actually went to see this last night and I don't know if I've ever been as bored as I was by an "action" movie. I understand the movie was supposed to be an homage to 70s exploitation/grindhouse type B movies but I feel like you'd have to have some sort of extreme interest in that style of film to be placated.

As far as the "political" messages contained in the film.... You'd only be able to dig out those allegories if your the type of person that seems "art" in blotches of paint on an otherwise empty canvas.

On an unrelated note, I did watch the movie Crossing Over with Harrison Ford and I didn't really appreciate that either. Why is it that Hollywood has this fixation that all immigrants are having footraces across the border with ICE and Border Patrol? It's just a fallacy. Our border is OPEN and the vast, overwhelming, majority of Mexican immigrants come here legally... at first.... they just don't leave when their temporary visas expire and hence become "illegal". Even when the big bad Border Patrol is encountering aliens more often than not it's a rescue attempt to keep them from dying out in the desert! I just don't understand.

It's Alex Jones.. if you're not wondering about fluoride in the water, you're not in his target audience.
