Perhaps an "off Topic" section

Post by Suckhow »

As forums develop into communities of people who want to communicate about all sort of topics with familiar people, it might make sense to have an off topic area. Such an area might be useful so that people who just want to rant about non-gun related topics, can have an outlet.

I for example, would very much like to post a thread requesting someone in the Houston metroplex come to my home and put me out of my misery, as I don't think my CHL will ever arrive

I'm against an off topic section on THIS forum. There are plenty of places for that.
I like that this forum has managed to stay focused on it's original ideals.

Not at this point. The forum was launched on 12/22/04 and everyone has been great; I have not had to edit or delete a single post! I fear a true "general" section is so much of a free-for-all that a great deal of moderation will be required. My schedule just wouldn't allow that, plus it would change the character of TexasCHLforum.
See this thread.

Maybe one day. Who knows?
