I suspect at will employment and right to work laws are a big factor.

I would also imagine that it's because of our location. Multiple ports, on the border of another country, somewhat centrally located in the U.S, and multiple international airports. All of that coupled with the tax and legal benefits makes our great state a logical choice for most any business.
