Assault with a Deadly Pen

Post by WildBill »

A man was arrested at Comic-Con in San Diego after he allegedly stabbed a friend with a pen. According to the police, the man stabbed his friend after an argument about "sitting too close."

It's strange. After all of these years sitting next to close friends, I never even stabbed one of them. :???:

Didn't your mothers teach you how to use a pen as a weapon? Mine taught me how to use it as a jabber or as a gun should the need arise.

Well that settles it. The pen is mightier than the (plastic) sword.

I was wondering if anyone caught that.

It's true though. I carry a stainless steel pen with a knurled grip that could be used as a last resort weapon.

When I was in high school, a girl stabbed a guy in the arm with a pencil. Sunk it in at least an inch. They were both friends of mine. Most of the school, including most of this guy's friends, including myself, thought he got what he deserved and she should have been given a medal. I think she got suspended for a few days.

This guy liked to aggravate people. He'd keep picking and picking and didn't know when it just wasn't funny anymore. Didn't know when to stop. He said something very offensive to this girl and she turned around and lashed out.
He got no sympathy at all.

Not this one? http://www.benchmade.com/products/1100

I mean, that Benchmade pen looks like it would fit right in with the superhero/ninja/spy stuff at Comic Con. :coolgleamA:

I had a piece of pencil lead buried in my arm for a few years. My sister put it there, but I really don't remember what the altercation was about (there were too many to pick from) :)

I've actually been thinking of getting one of these: http://www.tuffwriter.com/tactical-pens.html

It could be handy in places where the Constitution and Natural Rights are ignored.

Like in lava flows, on ice sheets, and on the moon? I don't see the point. I'm only seeing a pen that can handle temperature and altitude extremes being propped up next to a gun. What am I missing?

If you think that's expensive you should google Montblanc. :biggrinjester:

Hey, come next month the pavement will probably be hot enough to resemble a lava flow. ;-)

A lot of what I like about it is that it is large, heavy, pointy enough, and made in Arizona. :patriot: I've always liked high-quality pens, but never liked the fancy stuff, so this one has all of the heavy duty construction that I like without the bling.
