Miniature Schnauzer Rescue of Houston Needs Fosters Now!

Here is a message we just received from the Miniature Schnauzer Rescue of Houston (MSRH) concerning its desperate need for foster homes on a temporary basis. Apparently there are a lot of current foster homes that will be unavailable for a few weeks due to vacation plans.

Dear Schnauzer Friends

I know you received the e-mail last week asking for temporary foster homes due to several foster families going on vacation between August 12 thru September 26.

Well "B Day" will arrive tomorrow, Wednesday, August 18 for 26 Schnauzer boys and girls.

I am not talking about a happy "B" day as in Schnauzer birthday.

I am talking about a very sad "B" day as in Schnauzer boarding.

As you all know MSRH depends solely on our volunteers to help care for the minis until they are adopted.

You do the math ... 30 minis x $7.00 per day is $210.00 x 45 days is $9450.00.

That is a heck of a lot of boarding fees which could be applied to saving a whole lot of Schnauzers from kill shelters.

Boarding is an added expense MSRH can never afford.

Boarding fees take away from our mission of saving the breed we all love and their medical expenses.

Now is the time for all of you to step up and say "I want to help" ... even if it is temporarily.

Please "PAY IT FORWARD" if you love your mini ... whether you adopted or got from a breeder ... pass the LOVE ON!!!

Tonight these babies are in a loving foster home ... but tomorrow they will be transported to a kenneling facility for 4 to 6 weeks. Some will become depressed and others may lose their social skills and manners. The seniors especially do not need to be boarded.

Please don't let this happen ... because all could take steps backwards in finding their forever homes. MSRH would love to see all 26 minis in a temporary foster home during the next 45 days ... but realistically we know that may not be possible. So if you cannot foster please consider sponsoring a Schnauzer and donate to his or her kenneling bill.

Please take a look at the list below ... open your hearts and air conditioned homes to one or more of these special Schnauzer boys and girls.
