It's fortunate that the boy was smart enough not to pull the trigger.

Since the gun is owned by the police chief they didn't want to call it by it's proper name: Glock Semiautomatic Assault Pistol. :smilelol5:

Will the negligent adult be charged with leaving a loaded handgun where it's accessible to unsupervised children?

The Mayor answered the question.

Florida City Mayor Otis Wallace confirmed there's an internal investigation into the incident to corroborate the chief’s account.
“It’s not a good thing,” said Wallace. “It’s certainly human -- more in a realm of a mistake rather than some conscious bad act.”

I have to wonder if you or I did this, would it then be in the realm of a mistake rather than some conscious bad act. Or do only Florida City Police Chiefs make mistakes. :banghead:

Some people call Glocks "Tupperware". Maybe his was a "Lazy Susan"!

Didn't you know that all cops carry "service revolvers" and all semi-automatic rifles are "assault rifles". :mad5 The media has to wear slip on shoes because they can't tie their own shoes. :biggrinjester:

This book should be required reading for every US Citizen. I read it for my high school English class. Of course, I was too young to understand it all. One of my friends is home schooling his son and mentioned this book so I read it again last year. Good luck and have fun in your Poly Sci class.

A .40 cal Glock revolver. I'd love to see one of those.

When you realize it was written as commentary on the Soviets, it's disturbing how many parallels you can find to our current government.
