FL: Revolver stolen from police officer's unlocked vehicle

In the St. Petersburg, Florida, area, July 31, an 18-year-old man accidentally shot a friend while "playing around" with a .38 Smith and Wesson revolver.

Upon investigation, the revolver was found to have been stolen from a police officer's unlocked vehicle.

The shooter was charged with possession of a firearm by a felon, grand theft, and burglary.
