As the name indicates, this is the place for gun-related political discussions. It is not open to other political topics.

It's a miracle (for Chicago)

Mayor Daley has announced that he won't run for re-election.

I know there will be some other anti-gun politician to take his place, but maybe that one will be a little less ignorant than Daley was. I wonder how much the loss of his ban on guns played into his decision?

The scariest thought would be Rahm Emanuel getting the job... of course, at least he'd be out of the Chief of Staff position.

Now is the time for all good living voters in Illinois to come to the aid of their state and the Union.

We'll see what we see.
