IWB _magazine holder_ recommendations?

Post by OldCannon »

My Crossbreed holster and gun belt are on the way (yay!), but I'm looking at options for an IWB mag carrier (I already have a couple of Galco OWBs). Any recommendations? Would prefer a 2 mag carrier, but singles are fine too. I have a Glock 23, but I'll be carrying full sized (G22) magazines for spares.

I've got a comp-tac Kydex single holder, which works, but is pretty bulky. Their concealment setup looks really good though:

Probably pretty comfortable.

I've been using an IWB double-mag carrier for a 1911 from TT Gunleather for at least 3 years now. Extremely well-made, and extremely confortable. At $60 it's not overpriced, but their production times are at 22-24 weeks right now due to continuing high demand. Something like an Uncle mike's to start with while waiting on a quality holder might be an option.

Given the backlog on mag holders, it seems I have to choices that let me conceal:
1) Put in back pocket
2) Make my own

Option 2 doesn't seem too difficult. I have some novel ideas, and I can always charge this as an expense for my business :coolgleamA:

After doing some leather work recently and getting the hang of it, I think I am gonna try making a couple holders like the CompTac holder above. seems pretty straight forward.
