Ruger LCP

I recently bought a Ruger LCP as a personal carry. It is .380 caliber (9x17mm). It has a looooong trigger pull. But at the end of the pull, it hiccups. I am placing rounds all over the map at 10 yards. The only good news is that all the rounds are on the paper. I wanted to make this my regular carry. Normally I shoot better than this. I need a suggestion.

IMO. The lcp and other wepons of its size thats kinda of on the normal side. from the NAA revolvers to just about everything else that is pocket carry will be good to about 15-20 feet.

To me the LCP is a belly gun, not really a range gun. If can hit fairly good groups at 7 yards with it I am more than happy with that. Heck it takes a lot to even see the sights on it so I am not too worried about hitting exactly the same spot over and over.

In the shoot to stop zone works just fine for me.

Suggestion: Sell it and buy a pocket revolver. More power, better accuracy. And while the trigger pull is long, it is generally of a better quality. And the pocket revolvers are only marginally less concealable than an LCP or a P3AT.

I agree with Kevin..It's not a range gun for sure, but it is a great gun for it's intended purpose.

I had one for a while and found that with enough practice you can
effectively put rounds on target without relying on the nonexistent sights.

The chances that you would have to use this gun beyond a few
yards are slim IMO, but you might consider adding a laser to it
for added accuracy.

I also agree with TAM..A snubby will provide considerably more fire power
while only adding minimal weight if you go with an alloy frame.
The trade off is fewer rounds.
