TAMU SCCC "Criminals for gun free schools" demonstration

Colleges are places to learn, not die at the hands of attention-starved mass-murderers.

TAMU SCCC "Criminals for gun free schools" demonstration

Post by txsccc »

Well things have been going extremely well for us at Texas A&M Students for Concealed Carry on Campus!

We have grown to be the largest student run organization on campus with over 1220 members. We had our tables on campus this week to raise awareness of our issue, to dispel common myths about concealed carry on campus for those who asked, and to recruit more members.

We sold out of our "Guns Save Lives" shirts (all 150 of them) in the first 3 days and have handed out over 1,500 flyers in the last 3 days.

Here's some photos of the event---you can see our only opposition on campus--students for gun free schools sort of fell apart after 3 of their 5 members joined our ranks, so we had to do Something for the opposing side, right?

The "criminals for gun free zones" demonstration is meant to raise awareness that gun free zones only help criminals by disarming their victims. These "self defense free zones" make their jobs safer and make students and faculty easy, "safe" targets for criminals.

That's fantastic! I need to get involved at UH, I know there's a chapter but I don't think it's very active. Keep up the good work.
The spirit of resistance to government is so valuable on certain occasions, that I wish it to be always kept alive. It will often be exercised when wrong, but better so than not to be exercised at all. I like a little rebellion now and then. It is like a storm in the atmosphere. -Thomas Jefferson

Man, that is fantastic. The SCCC group at UTD fell apart when its leaders graduated. Hopefully they will start another one.

All guns have at least two safeties. One's digital, one's cognitive. In other words - keep the digit off the trigger until ready to fire, and THINK. Some guns also have mechanical safeties on top of those. But if the first two don't work, the mechanical ones aren't guaranteed. - me
